Vannesa Gonzalez was born in Mexico but raised in Taos, NM since she was a child. Vannesa is grateful to call Taos her home and to be part of this diverse community who has seen her grow as an individual and has allowed her many opportunities. Vannesa has volunteered more than 7 years to serving the Taos community and to help strengthen our systems. Vannesa’s own life experiences have inspired her to continue to serve individuals with diverse backgrounds and minority groups that reside in Taos County, as her goal is to be the bridge between clients and the resources available in the community.
As a first-generation college student Vannesa’s goal is to further her education and become a Criminologist, to make herself and her family proud. Vannesa wishes to continue to strengthen her knowledge and skills to better serve her clients and helping them navigating the barriers that they face daily. Vannesa is committed to building trust, bridging gaps with culturally humility and empathy for our community members.
